Chalice Gold Mines Ltd. said May 31 that recent drilling defined two new gold trends at its East Cadillac property in Quebec, expanding the potential of the project to the north and southeast beyond the known Cadillac fault-hosted mineralization.
The company recently completed a diamond drill program of 27,300 meters, after increasing the program by 21,000 meters in January to test 14 new targets.
Drilling returned highlights of 23.5 meters grading 1.12 g/t of gold from a depth of 180.5 meters at the North Contact target and 20.8 meters grading 0.74 g/t of gold from 316.7 meters at the Lac Rapides target.
Chalice Gold is finalizing a summer work program, which is scheduled to begin in July. Work will include infill and new regional soil geochemistry as well as additional geophysical surveys.
