BNP Paribas merges 2 units to form Global Credit Markets Americas

BNP Paribas SA has merged its existing credit units, Global Markets Americas and Global Banking Americas, to create a new unit called Global Credit Markets Americas.

The unit integrates all primary origination, financing, syndication, secondary sales, and trading and research activities across credit products into one platform.

Matthew Salvner will head the platform, along with Dan Cozine as deputy head focused on primary markets activities.

In addition, Christopher Blum has been named head of BNP Paribas' leveraged finance for North America. He previously was co-head of leveraged debt capital markets at Deutsche Bank AG.
