Kopore Metals Ltd. said Dec. 13 that it received environmental clearance certificates for all eight of the company's recently granted exclusive Namibian prospecting licenses.
The certificates will allow Kopore to start its planned Namibian field exploration activities in the first quarter of 2019 at the Omenye and Ongava Domal prospects. Field exploration programs will include ground geophysics and follow up percussion and reverse circulation drilling.
The grants include the four prospecting licenses subject of an action by Hebron Prospecting Pty. Ltd. However, Kopore's initial exploration program will focus on the non-contested licenses.
Hebron applied to the High Court of Namibia to set aside four of Kopore's eight prospecting licenses in November.
The company received approval in July from Namibia's Department of Mines and Energy for eight exclusive prospecting licenses, covering an area of 5,705 square kilometers, contiguous to its Ghanzi West copper project.
