Origin Enterprises profit misses consensus by 74.0% in fiscal H1

Origin Enterprises PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Jan. 31 amounted to 1 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 5 cents per share.

EPS decreased 45.4% year over year from 2 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.5 million, a decline of 48.9% from €3.0 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to €531.6 million from €517.6 million, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to €531.0 million from €516.5 million.

Reported net income fell 39.0% from the prior-year period to €2.0 million, or 2 cents per share, from €3.4 million, or 2 cents per share.
