Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Oct. 16 that it repurchased 1,780,000 of its common shares from Oct. 8 to Oct. 12 at an average price of €19.25 per share for a total consideration of €34.3 million.
The transaction is part of the Dutch grocery retailer's €2 billion share repurchase program that it first announced in November 2017.
The company previously bought back 1,700,640 shares worth €32.8 million between Oct. 1 and Oct. 5.
Under the buyback program, Ahold Delhaize has repurchased a total of 87,925,454 shares to date for a total consideration of €1.72 billion.
