Thai Wah PCL said its normalized net income for the first quarter amounted to 83 satang per share, an increase of 9.2% from 76 satang per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 65.4 million baht, a gain of 9.9% from 59.5 million baht in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 6.0% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 6.8% on an annual basis to 1.09 billion baht from 1.02 billion baht, and total operating expenses increased 6.3% from the prior-year period to 990.2 million baht from 931.2 million baht.
Reported net income rose 11.9% from the prior-year period to 86.7 million baht, or 1.10 baht per share, from 77.5 million baht, or 99 satang per share.
As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to 33.55 baht.
