WonderCorp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 was ¥8.85 per share, a decrease of 38.4% from ¥14.39 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥47.6 million, a decline of 38.4% from ¥77.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 0.2% from 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell year over year to ¥20.36 billion from ¥20.69 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥20.46 billion, compared with ¥20.35 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥51.0 million, or a loss of ¥9.48 per share, compared to income of ¥238.0 million, or ¥44.25 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Oct. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.98.
