Yamano Holdings fiscal Q3 profit climbs 69.6% YOY

Yamano Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥8.12 per share, an increase of 69.6% from ¥4.79 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥279.9 million, a gain of 69.6% from ¥165.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.5% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 5.1% year over year to ¥6.29 billion from ¥6.63 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥6.10 billion from ¥6.35 billion.

Reported net income rose 35.6% on an annual basis to ¥330.0 million, or ¥9.57 per share, from ¥243.3 million, or ¥7.06 per share.
