Silla Co. Q3 profit climbs YOY

Silla Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 718.56 South Korean won per share, a gain from 342.54 won per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 11.50 billion won, a gain from 5.48 billion won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 14.1% from 8.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 21.4% year over year to 81.50 billion won from 67.15 billion won, and total operating expenses increased 22.4% year over year to 81.08 billion won from 66.24 billion won.

Reported net income decreased year over year to 9.57 billion won, or 598.20 won per share, from 9.83 billion won, or 614.00 won per share.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 1,172.80 South Korean won.
