E.ON raises €1.5B from green bond offerings

E.ON SE raised €1.5 billion from two green bond offerings to fund sustainable infrastructure and energy efficiency projects.

The offering is structured as two €750 million bonds, one at 0% due August 2024, and the other at 0.35% due February 2030, according to an Aug. 21 news release.

"The low coupons of both bonds reduce E.ON's average financing costs and thus support our business development," E.ON CFO Marc Spieker said.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas, ING and Société Générale served as active book runners.
