Dynac Q4 profit climbs YOY

Dynac Corp. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter was ¥46.83 per share, an increase from ¥45.41 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥329.4 million, a gain from ¥319.4 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 3.4% from 3.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥9.79 billion from ¥9.43 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥9.26 billion from ¥8.92 billion.

Reported net income increased 41.1% on an annual basis to ¥278.0 million, or ¥39.53 per share, from ¥197.0 million, or ¥28.01 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥82.56 per share, an increase of 16.3% from ¥71.01 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥580.6 million, a gain of 16.3% from ¥499.4 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥36.13 billion from ¥34.79 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to ¥35.19 billion from ¥33.98 billion.

The company said reported net income rose 23.1% on an annual basis to ¥341.0 million, or ¥48.49 per share, in the full year, from ¥277.0 million, or ¥39.39 per share.

As of March 24, US$1 was equivalent to ¥112.66.
