Pinnacle Financial Q4'18 EPS up 251% YOY

Pinnacle Financial Partners Inc. on Jan. 15 reported net income of $95.3 million, or $1.23 per share, for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2018, compared to $26.8 million, or 35 cents per share, for the year-ago period.

Pinnacle's net income for the year 2018 stood at $359.4 million, or $4.64 per share, compared to $174.0 million, or $2.70 per share, for 2017.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus mean estimate for fourth-quarter 2018 GAAP EPS was $1.22 while the consensus mean estimate for the year 2018 GAAP EPS was $4.63.

Pinnacle's total assets rose to $25.03 billion at the end of 2018 from $22.21 billion in the previous year. Deposits at Dec. 31, 2018, were $18.8 billion, an increase of $2.4 billion from Dec. 31, 2017, reflecting year-over-year growth of 14.5%.
