Disney inks new content deal with South African free-to-air TV channel

Walt Disney Co. struck a new content deal with e.tv, a free-to-air television channel in South Africa, Rapid TV News reported April 5, citing a company statement.

The deal includes animated films "The Little Mermaid," "The Princess and the Frog" and "Frozen," in addition to animated series "Sofia the First." Viewers will also be able to watch the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies every Saturday night in May.

Also covered by the content deal are live-action titles such as "Cool Runnings," "The Pacifier" and "Sister Act," along with Disney Pixar animated films "Cars," "Finding Nemo," "Monsters Inc." and "The Incredibles."

Shorts such as "For The Birds," "Jack-Jack Attack" and "Mike's New Car" are also included in the deal.
