R&B Denims Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second half ended March 31 amounted to 28 Indian paise per share, an increase of 48.6% from 19 paise per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 4.2 million rupees, a gain from 1.9 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 19.4% on an annual basis to 771.5 million rupees from 646.4 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 18.9% from the prior-year period to 751.6 million rupees from 632.1 million rupees.
Reported net income rose on an annual basis to 3.4 million rupees, or 22 paise per share, from 503,510 rupees, or 5 paise per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 35 paise per share, a decline of 8.3% from 38 paise per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 4.8 million rupees, a gain of 43.3% from 3.4 million rupees in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 44.0% year over year to 1.54 billion rupees from 1.07 billion rupees, and total operating expenses grew 44.4% on an annual basis to 1.51 billion rupees from 1.05 billion rupees.
The company said reported net income rose on an annual basis to 3.8 million rupees, or 27 paise per share, in the full year, from 1.8 million rupees, or 20 paise per share.
As of June 1, US$1 was equivalent to 63.60 Indian rupees.
