Student accommodation group Scape is leading the race in the acquisition of the A$600 million Atira student accommodation platform from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Blue Sky Alternative Investments Ltd., The Australian reported.
Scape emerges as the frontrunner after negotiations between the sellers and Brookfield Asset Management Inc. fell through in 2018, according to the publication.
Scape has said it intends to grow its portfolio to over 10,000 student beds from more than 3,500 beds across Australia.
Goldman Sachs and JLL are brokering the discussions with Scape. They both declined to comment, the Aug. 29 report added.
