Jack Chia Industries Q3 profit falls YOY

Jack Chia Industries (Thailand) PCL said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 1.63 baht per share, a decrease of 17.1% from 1.97 baht per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 22.0 million baht, a decrease of 17.1% from 26.6 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 10.4% from 11.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 6.3% on an annual basis to 211.9 million baht from 226.2 million baht, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to 176.6 million baht from 183.6 million baht.

Reported net income declined 17.0% year over year to 29.7 million baht, or 2.20 baht per share, from 35.8 million baht, or 2.65 baht per share.

As of Nov. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 35.85 baht.
