Döhler SA Q1 profit falls YOY

Döhler SA said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 1 Brazilian centavos per share, a decrease of 92.0% from 15 centavos per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 707,750 reais, a decline of 92.0% from 8.9 million reais in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 0.7% from 9.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to 101.8 million reais from 98.3 million reais, and total operating expenses rose 13.8% on an annual basis to 99.6 million reais from 87.5 million reais.

Reported net income decreased 85.4% on an annual basis to 1.7 million reais, or 3 centavos per share, from 11.9 million reais, or 20 centavos per share.

As of May 12, US$1 was equivalent to 3.49 reais.
