Allianz Q1 income up 6.8% YOY

Allianz Group reported first-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of €1.94 billion, up 6.8% from €1.82 billion in the year-ago period.

The German insurance group said the increase was driven by lower tax charge and lower restructuring charges.

Total revenues ticked up 0.7% year over year to €36.5 billion from €36.2 billion.
