AutoNation director to step down

AutoNation Inc. said Dec. 17 that Michael Larson will step down from the company's board, effective immediately.

In addition, the Florida-based company's board elected Rick Burdick as its lead independent director, effective Dec. 17.

Burdick is a long-standing director of the automotive retailer. He is also a partner in legal advisory firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
