CIT Group hires managing director; Stifel Financial makes board appointments

Louisville, Ky.-based Republic Bank & Trust Co. promoted Jim Kirkpatrick to Florida market president from senior vice president and market manager.

Kirkpatrick succeeds David Feaster, who was appointed as a director on the bank's board.

Republic Bancorp Inc. is the parent company of Republic Bank & Trust.


New York-based CIT Group Inc. hired Ken Martin as managing director of its small-business solutions unit, effective Aug. 5.

Martin joins from Berkshire Bank where he most recently was a regional president.


Farmington, Mo.-based First State Community Bank appointed Kim Hutson and Nick Gibson to its board, Daily Journal Online reported.

Hutson is a member of the Mineral Area Board of Realtors, while Gibson is the COO of Lee Mechanical Contractors Inc.

First State Community Bank is a unit of First State Bancshares Inc.


Uniondale, N.Y.-based Flushing Financial Corp. reported that board member Thomas Gulotta died.

Gulotta joined the company in 2010 as an advisory board member and became a board member in 2013.


Sandy Springs, Ga.-based Signature Bank of Georgia announced that director R. Terry Smith died.

Smith served on the board since 2005 and was the audit and technology committee chairman.

Financial Services

Walker & Dunlop Inc. established a team of debt and equity finance professionals in Houston.

The firm hired Mike Melody, Tom Melody, Tom Fish and Paul House as managing directors. Jonathan Paine was named senior vice president.

Mike Melody, Tom Melody, Fish and House join from Jones Lang LaSalle Inc., where they led the national capital markets finance platform.

Additionally, the company expanded its mortgage bankers team and hired Frank Cassidy and Cliff Ayers as vice presidents.

Cassidy, who will join the Philadelphia office, was a vice president at Newmark Knight Frank. Ayers, who was a director at MAC Realty Advisors, will become a part of the Bethesda, Md., office.


Stifel Financial Corp. appointed Daniel Ludeman and Adam Berlew to its board, effective Aug. 6.

Ludeman is president and CEO of Concordance Academy of Leadership, while Berlew is executive director of Americas marketing for Google Cloud at Google LLC.

Chan will serve until the next annual shareholder meeting.
