Carlyle invests in Crimson Midstream

Carlyle Group LP invested an undisclosed amount in Crimson Midstream Holdings LLC.

The private equity firm's Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund provided equity for the strategic investment.

Crimson expects to broaden its presence in the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana and California through the partnership.

The company, which provides crude oil transportation and storage services, is in the process of increasing its U.S. crude export capacity, including the development of Swordfish Pipeline.
