Coombes, Drivas JV seeks council approval for A$227M commercial tower in Sydney

Coombes Property Group and Drivas Property Group jointly filed an application to the City of Parramatta Council to develop a A$227 million commercial tower in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta, The Australian Financial Review reported.

The partners are seeking approval for a 23-story, 34,277-square-meter building that is intended to rise on the pair's 3,685-square-meter site at 50 Macquarie St. and 220 Church St., the publication noted.

Aside from the office component, the tower will also include 1,534 square meters of retail space in its ground floor, as well as 150 car spaces in its basement.

According to the Oct. 4 report, a leasing campaign for the property, expected to be built in two years, will be jointly helmed by Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE.
