Wall Street moves through June 7

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of selected executive management changes among the major Wall Street investment banks and other notable moves. The changes are listed by announcement date in reverse chronological order.

June 7

Alexandra Lebenthal will continue as managing member of Lebenthal & Co. LLC as part of the restructuring of the Lebenthal Holdings LLC unit. Steven Willis, senior managing director of capital markets, will oversee Lebenthal & Co.'s business. The changes come soon after a deal between Lebenthal and South Street Securities Holdings Inc. was reportedly called off.


Brookwood Financial Partners LLC affiliate Brookwood Securities Partners LLC appointed Brad Root a managing director. Before rejoining Brookwood, Root served as COO of Newton Institute and Center for Serving Leadership.

May 6

Julien Dumoulin-Smith, who headed UBS Securities LLC's electric utilities, alternative energy and independent power producer equity research coverage, will move to Bank of America Merrill Lynch to head the bank's current power and electric utilities equity research group in New York starting in August, SparkSpread reported. BofA Merrill Lynch also hired Ahmad Masud, former global head of power at Credit Suisse AG, as co-head of power and renewables investment banking for the Americas.


Mizuho Americas LLC added Traci Creange to its fixed income team as managing director and head of U.S. floating rate note credit trading. Creange previously worked with Deutsche Bank AG.


RBC Capital Markets LLC is expected to add former Keefe Bruyette & Woods Inc. insurance investment banker Neil Chawhan. An RBC spokesperson confirmed that Chawhan is slated to join the company.


Mark Hayden joined Houlihan Lokey Inc. as a managing director in the company's dispute resolution consulting practice within the financial advisory services group. Hayden earlier worked at Deloitte.


Macquarie Group Ltd. added Kevin Byrne and Michelle Riffelmacher to its U.S. transition management business within its commodities and global markets group. Byrne most recently worked with Loop Capital Markets LLC, while Riffelmacher previously was at Citigroup Inc.


Macquarie Capital hired Tom Amster as a senior managing director and head of U.S. financial sponsors from Morgan Stanley. The company also named Hershel Gerson as a managing director in its consumer, gaming and leisure franchise, with a core focus on the consumer and retail sectors. Gerson most recently was with BNP Paribas SA.

June 5

Bank of America Corp.'s Merrill Lynch recently hired brokers F. Michael Covey, Tom Kane, Mark Wiktor, Joseph Gabriele and Paul Vasady-Kovacs from UBS Group AG, and Fernando Nicolau and Cathy Reed from JPMorgan Chase & Co., The Wall Street Journal reported.


Confirming an earlier S&P Global Market Intelligence report, Raymond James Financial Inc. expanded its financial services investment banking practice with the addition of Steve Egli as managing director. Egli joined from Sandler O'Neill & Partners LP.


KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. added Joseph Cary and Brendan Grady as managing directors, and Vincent Dello-Iacono, Robert Gabriele, Peter Hall and John Stuart as directors to its New York-based equity sales and trading team. Cary and Grady joined from Susquehanna International Group and Barclays, respectively. Previously, Dello-Iacono and Hall worked at Jefferies. Gabriele and Stuart joined from CLSA Americas.


Janney Montgomery Scott LLC named Dan Wantrobski as director of research. Wantrobski is rejoining the firm and was previously the director of technical research.


Walter Dolhare and Robert Engel will begin serving as co-heads of Wells Fargo & Co.'s Wells Fargo Securities, effective July 1. Dolhare has served as head of Wells Fargo Securities' markets division since 2004. Engel serves as head of Wells Fargo Securities' investment banking and capital markets.

June 2

Morgan Stanley has restructured its wealth management unit, Reuters reported. As part of the changes, Vince Lumia, earlier head of private wealth management, was named head of field management. Mandell Crawley will succeed Lumia as head of private wealth management. Crawley most recently was Morgan Stanley's chief marketing officer. The investment bank has eliminated its divisional level and appointed Bill McMahon and Rick Skae, former divisional heads, vice chairmen of wealth management.

June 1

Jeremy Dickstein joined Spartan Capital Securities LLC as a senior managing director overseeing Spartan Capital Private Wealth Management LLC. Dickstein previously worked at Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley and Fidelity Investments.


LPL Financial Holdings Inc. unit LPL Financial LLC Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer Michelle Oroschakoff will assume the additional role of chief legal and risk officer, effective June 9. Oroschakoff takes over general counsel duties from David Bergers, who will be departing to accept a position in private practice.


Houlihan Lokey appointed Tom Olivier a managing director in the technology, media and telecom group. Olivier was previously with Pacific Crest Securities.
