Petrobras oil, gas production slips in July

Brazil's state-run Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras reported that oil and natural gas production, including natural gas liquids, totaled 2.60 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in July. This was slightly lower than the 2.62 MMboe/d reported in June.

According to a Sept. 4 release, 2.50 MMboe/d was produced in Brazil while 102,000 boe/d was produced abroad.

Total production operated by the company and its partners amounted to 3.30 MMboe/d, with 3.17 MMboe/d in Brazil.

The decline was attributed to the purchase of a 25% interest in the Roncador field by Equinor on June 14 along with the stoppage of the Mexilhão platform for security inspections and infrastructure improvements.
