Nagawa Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥48.70 per share, a gain of 13.7% from ¥42.83 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥676.3 million, an increase of 13.5% from ¥596.0 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 10.3% from 8.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell year over year to ¥6.60 billion from ¥6.74 billion, and total operating expenses fell from the prior-year period to ¥5.60 billion from ¥5.82 billion.
Reported net income rose 7.0% year over year to ¥502.0 million, or ¥36.15 per share, from ¥469.0 million, or ¥33.71 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥178.72 per share, an increase of 15.9% from ¥154.20 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥2.49 billion, a gain of 14.7% from ¥2.17 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥24.52 billion from ¥24.07 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥20.75 billion, compared with ¥20.74 billion in the prior-year period.
The company said reported net income increased 21.5% on an annual basis to ¥2.28 billion, or ¥163.86 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.88 billion, or ¥133.50 per share.
As of June 18, US$1 was equivalent to ¥122.95.
