Kyoshin fiscal Q3 profit climbs 6.5% YOY

Kyoshin Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Feb. 28 amounted to ¥30.69 per share, a gain of 6.5% from ¥28.83 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥257.5 million, an increase of 6.5% from ¥241.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 8.3% from 8.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 6.0% year over year to ¥3.11 billion from ¥2.93 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 6.1% from the prior-year period to ¥2.69 billion from ¥2.54 billion.

Reported net income rose 25.5% from the prior-year period to ¥251.0 million, or ¥29.92 per share, from ¥200.0 million, or ¥23.84 per share.
