CHANG TYPE Industrial Q2 profit climbs YOY

CHANG TYPE Industrial Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to 85 Taiwan cents per share, an increase from 39 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$67.1 million, a gain from NT$30.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 8.3% from 4.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 26.1% on an annual basis to NT$810.2 million from NT$642.5 million, and total operating expenses increased 20.4% year over year to NT$706.9 million from NT$587.3 million.

Reported net income rose year over year to NT$87.3 million, or NT$1.11 per share, from NT$40.0 million, or 51 cents per share.
