Tango Mining acquiring Mano River project in Liberia

Tango Mining Ltd. agreed to acquire from West Mining Ltd. an 80% unencumbered interest in the Mano River project in Liberia, according to a Sept. 10 release.

The property consists of one recently granted diamond mineral exploration license covering 104.3 square kilometers. It is located in the western part of the country, an area well-known for the widespread occurrence of alluvial diamonds and kimberlites.

Upon the transaction's close on Oct. 31, the company will develop an exploration program consisting of geological and structural mapping, sampling and ground geophysical surveys by the end of the first quarter of 2019.

A number of distinct kimberlite clusters have been identified around Mano River, including Camp Alpha, Weasua, Mano Godua and Kumgbor.

Avesoro Resources Inc.'s New Liberty gold mine, the largest in Liberia, is located 45 kilometers southwest of the Mano River project.
