Evergy names nuclear industry veteran to board

Evergy Inc. named John Arthur Stall to its board of directors.

Stall will also serve on the board's nuclear, operations and environmental oversight committee. He will stand for election at the 2019 annual shareholder meeting, according to a March 25 company press release.

Stall currently serves as an independent director of Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corp., which operates Evergy's Wolf Creek nuclear power plant. He previously served in numerous nuclear leadership roles at NextEra Energy Inc., including as president of NextEra's nuclear division, as senior vice president and chief nuclear officer, and as vice president of NextEra's St. Lucie nuclear power facility.
