Pelion Venture Partners names new managing director

Early-stage venture capital firm Pelion Venture Partners named Jeff Kearl as managing director.

Kearl previously was CEO at Stance Inc., a socks manufacturing company which he co-founded in 2009.

The Utah-based firm, which invests in software companies, will open a new office in southern California. Kearl is expected to plan a strategy for startups in the region.
