Equinix Inc. said it agreed to buy three data centers in Mexico from Axtel SAB de CV for $175 million, marking its debut in the country.
Bloomberg News had recently reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter, that the data center landlord was in talks for the acquisitions.
The assets serve the Mexico City and Monterrey metro areas and generated roughly $21 million of revenues in the year ended Dec. 31, 2018.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020, subject to customary conditions.
