FERC clears SunEdison, MTW Resources to sell 2 Utah wind farms

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission granted Longroad Energy Holdings LLC approval to purchase a 100% class A controlling stake in two Utah wind farms.

A newly formed subsidiary of Longroad Energy will purchase the 203.5-MW Milford Wind I and the 102-MW Milford Wind II projects from an entity that is 80% owned by SunEdison Inc. and 20% owned by MTW Resources LP, according to a Nov. 24 FERC filing.

Both wind projects sell their output to the Southern California Public Power Authority under separate long-term power contracts.

The membership interests in Longroad Energy Holdings are held by Infratil US Renewables Inc., NZSF US Renewables Inc. and Longroad Energy Partners. (FERC docket EC17-188)
