Private investor closes Vermont State Bank acquisition

Private investor Francois Legendre acquired Illinois-based Vermont State Bank, the Canton (Ill.) Daily Ledger reported.

Legendre, Tom Haley and Gary Rever will join the bank's board. Haley also became Vermont State Bank's president, replacing Mark Dohner in the role.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Vermont State Bank had $28.5 million in assets as of June 30, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
