NextGen Healthcare acquires Topaz Information Solutions

NextGen Healthcare Inc. acquired all assets of its partner Topaz Information Solutions.

Pheonix, Ariz.-based Topaz Information develops custom healthcare technology solutions for the specific needs of behavioral health and social services organizations.

The acquisition was completed in the first week of October, and the financial details of the purchase were not disclosed.

Additionally, Irvine, Calif.-based NextGen — which partners with different medical, behavioral and dental providers — said South Bend Clinic invested an additional $5.6 million in software and services of the company. With the technology infrastructure upgrade, South Bend Clinic expects a $2 million return on investment in the coming years.

South Bend Clinic consists of 150 physicians who provide healthcare with over 350,000 patient visits annually.
