Edita Food Industries Q3 profit climbs 17.6% YOY

4909952 said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 7 Egyptian piastres per share, a gain of 17.3% from 6 piastres per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 49.9 million pounds, a gain of 17.6% from 42.5 million pounds in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 9.2% from 9.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 20.5% year over year to 535.4 million pounds from 444.4 million pounds, and total operating expenses climbed 20.4% from the prior-year period to 451.9 million pounds from 375.3 million pounds.
