Atlantic Power sells additional C$15M notes

Atlantic Power Corp. on Feb. 2 sold an additional C$15 million of its 6% series E convertible unsecured subordinated debentures in an overallotment option.

The issuance represents the underwriters' full overallotment option.

The total of C$115 million of series E debentures, due 2025, netted proceeds of C$109.1 million, according to a federal filing. The notes were used to redeem all of Atlantic Power's outstanding US$42.5 million of 5.75% series C convertible unsecured subordinated debentures, due June 30, 2019 and an outstanding balance of C$81 million of 6% series D extendable convertible unsecured subordinated debentures, due Dec. 31, 2019.

The syndicate of underwriters was led by RBC Capital Markets.
