Chesapeake Utilities Corp. is set to expand its offerings with the acquisition of Florida-based pipeline services provider Marlin CNG Services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Marlin supplies mobile compressed natural gas utility and pipeline services to local gas distribution utilities, pipeline companies and natural gas producers, according to a Dec. 19 news release.
"This acquisition extends Chesapeake's service offerings to a variety of new customers, allows for flexibility in meeting the needs of local distribution and transmission companies, and supports the expansion of our business," said Jeffry Householder, president of the utility's Florida business unit.
Chesapeake Utilities is a Delaware-based diversified energy company engaged in natural gas distribution, transmission, gathering and processing, and marketing.
