Soft99 fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Soft99 Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 was ¥13.38 per share, a decrease of 25.7% from ¥18.02 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥290.0 million, a decrease of 25.5% from ¥389.4 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 5.4% from 6.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to ¥5.41 billion from ¥5.68 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥5.01 billion from ¥5.12 billion.

Reported net income decreased 27.6% from the prior-year period to ¥296.0 million, or ¥13.65 per share, from ¥409.0 million, or ¥18.92 per share.

As of Aug. 8, US$1 was equivalent to ¥101.85.
