Betex India fiscal Q3 profit climbs 20.0% YOY

Betex India Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 1.67 Indian rupees per share, an increase of 20.1% from 1.39 rupees per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.5 million rupees, an increase of 20.0% from 2.1 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.1% from 2.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 18.4% on an annual basis to 121.6 million rupees from 102.7 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 17.5% from the prior-year period to 116.8 million rupees from 99.4 million rupees.

Reported net income grew year over year to 3.2 million rupees, or 2.10 rupees per share, from 3.0 million rupees, or 2.02 rupees per share.

As of Feb. 9, US$1 was equivalent to 62.14 Indian rupees.
