Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV said its normalized net income for the third quarter was 23 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 23 cents per share.
EPS climbed 10.5% year over year from 21 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €346.8 million, an increase of 36.1% from €254.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.0% from 1.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 16.6% on an annual basis to €27.47 billion from €23.55 billion, and total operating expenses rose 16.1% on an annual basis to €26.27 billion from €22.62 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of €306.0 million, or a loss of 20 cents per share, compared with income of €174.0 million, or 14 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
