Sabina PCL Q1 profit falls YOY

Sabina Public Company Ltd said its first-quarter normalized net income was 8 satang per share, a decrease from 8 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 26.1 million baht, a decline from 26.9 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 5.4% from 5.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to 488.1 million baht, compared with 488.2 million baht in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses totaled 443.6 million baht, compared with 441.4 million baht in the prior-year period.

Reported net income declined from the prior-year period to 32.1 million baht, or 9 satang per share, from 33.1 million baht, or 10 satang per share.

As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to 33.55 baht.
