Bankhaus Lampe to sell Lampe Equity Management to Canada-based asset manager

Bankhaus Lampe KG is selling Lampe Equity Management GmbH to Canada-based Brookfield Asset Management Inc. for an undisclosed price, subject to antitrust review.

Lampe Equity Management, which is the asset manager of private equity firm CEE Management GmbH, is involved in renewable energy funds. Its roughly 40 Hamburg, Germany-based employees will join Brookfield as part of the deal, which is expected to be completed by year-end.

Bankhaus Lampe is a cornerstone investor in CEE Group and said it will remain an investor in funds offered by CEE, which has around €1.3 billion in assets under management.

Bankhaus Lampe is part of the Oetker Group, a German conglomerate primarily involved in the food and beverage industries.
