KPS Capital Partners closes 2 funds at $7B

KPS Capital Partners LP raised over $7 billion in commitments at the close of its two funds, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The New York-based firm's fifth flagship buyout fund raised $6.12 billion, while a smaller fund focused on smaller deals closed with $1.02 billion. The firm reportedly said that investor demand reached $15 billion for the funds.

Previously, the firm raised $3.5 billion from its previous flagship fund closed in 2013.

KPS Capital Partners makes controlling equity investments in manufacturing and industrial companies.
