HASEKO Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥21.91 per share, an increase from ¥10.06 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥6.59 billion, a gain of 82.5% from ¥3.61 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 3.8% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 30.1% year over year to ¥171.26 billion from ¥131.61 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 28.3% on an annual basis to ¥160.44 billion from ¥125.03 billion.
Reported net income decreased 42.9% from the prior-year period to ¥6.99 billion, or ¥23.27 per share, from ¥12.25 billion, or ¥34.15 per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
