Okasan Securities raises stake in Securities Japan to 33.4%

Okasan Securities Group Inc. invested ¥2.1 billion in Securities Japan Inc. to raise its stake in the brokerage to 33.4%.

Okasan Securities said Dec. 9 that it purchased the shares with a view to eventually turn Securities Japan into a subsidiary. Okasan took an initial stake in the smaller brokerage in 2015.

As of Dec. 9 US$1 was equivalent to ¥108.60.
