Roper Technologies Inc. said its second-quarter normalized net income came to $1.50 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $2.22 per share.
EPS rose 9.2% year over year from $1.37.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $154.9 million, a gain of 10.2% from $140.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 13.7% from 15.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 21.8% on an annual basis to $1.13 billion from $931.6 million, and total operating expenses grew 23.9% year over year to $840.4 million from $678.5 million.
Reported net income rose 14.0% year over year to $179.9 million, or $1.74 per share, from $157.8 million, or $1.54 per share.
