Moody's assigns rating to Waste Connections

Moody's assigned a Baa2 issuer rating to Texas-based solid waste services company Waste Connections Inc. with a stable outlook.

The rating agency cited the company's market position as the third-largest waste services provider in the North American solid waste sector, an industry-leading EBITDA margin, strong free cash flow and good financial flexibility.

The stable outlook reflects Moody's expectation that Waste Connections will post steady revenue and EBITDA growth through 2019 with the help of robust pricing and steady volumes, along with accretive acquisitions.
