Subsea 7 wins contracts from BP unit for work offshore Azerbaijan

Subsea 7 SA was granted two contracts, representing a "sizeable" contract award, by BP PLC subsidiary BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Ltd. for the Azeri Central East project in the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli field in the Caspian Sea, Subsea 7 announced Sept. 30.

Contract work will be done in a consortium with BOS Shelf, which will handle fabrication, logistics and facilities support. Engineering work will start immediately with offshore execution scheduled to take place in 2021 and 2022.

While no contract value was disclosed, Subsea 7 defines a sizable contract as being between $50 million and $150 million.
