Northrop Grumman to reorganize businesses

Northrop Grumman Corp. will reorganize its operating sectors, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

The reorganization is meant to align businesses that have shared markets, customers and technologies, Northrop Grumman CEO and President Kathy Warden said, adding that the move is expected to make the company more responsive to client needs.

The company will group its businesses into four operating sectors. Aeronautics Systems, a manned and unmanned air system provider, will be headed by Janis Pamiljans, corporate vice president and president of the current Aerospace Systems division.

Defense Systems, a critical technology services provider, will be led by Mary Petryszyn, current vice president and general manager for Land and Avionics C4ISR at Mission Systems, which provides systems for defense and intelligence applications. Mission Systems will be headed by Mark Caylor, current corporate vice president and president of the division.

Space Systems, a space and launch systems provider, will be led by Blake Larson, corporate vice president and president of the current Innovation Systems division.

The company also announced that Patrick Antkowiak, corporate vice president and chief strategy and technology officer, and Christopher Jones, corporate vice president and president of the current Technology Services division, intend to retire.

The announced changes are not expected to impact the company's 2019 financial results or guidance as updated in July.
