Ramsay Générale lodges offer document for Capio takeover

Ramsay Générale de Santé SA lodged the offer document for its €661 million takeover bid for Capio AB with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

The Paris-based hospital operator plans to buy Capio at 48.5 Swedish kroner per share. In July, Sweden-based Capio said its board rejected the unsolicited offer as it does not adequately represent its fundamental value.

The offer document's acceptance period starts Sept. 6 and expires Oct. 25, but Ramsay Générale may extend the period.

Australia's Ramsay Health Care Ltd. owns 50.9% of Ramsay Générale.

As of Sept. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 9.08 Swedish kronor.
